motorist traveling through this
intersection: if you are on Station

S.R.
1055, Section CB1, Graphite Mine
Road (Southern Link) is Open
|
|
The
Southern Link of Graphite Mine Road
(a.k.a. the Eagle Loop Road) south
of Byers Road opened
to traffic in both directions on
Wednesday, August 19,
2009!
The
southern link of Graphite Mine Road
ties into the previously
constructed northern link, which
extends from Byers Road north to
Route 100 (south of Fellowship
Road). Now opened, motorists
destined northbound or southbound
along Route 100 have the option
to travel directly from Route 100
onto Graphite Mine Road to bypass
the Village of Eagle. New traffic signals
are now operational at the Graphite Mine
Road intersections with Byers Road
and with Route 100 (near Wolfington
Bus Company). Through
traffic (vehicles that are not
destined to locations within the
Village of Eagle) are encouraged to
use this new road.
Motorists
should also be aware that some minor
construction activities will still
be taking place within the limits of
work in the coming weeks in order to
resolve some outstanding inspection
items. Caution should be used while
traveling through work zones.
Thanks
to everyone for your patience during
construction.
