Upper Uwchlan Township updates and maintains this page to inform motorists of pending roadway construction activities within the Township. Motorists should check here on a regular basis for updates on lane restrictions, hours of construction operations, and other important roadway construction information.

The eastbound and westbound shoulders on Byers Road between Route 100 and Eagle Farms Road will be closed from 7 AM through 4 PM from Monday, June 29, 2009 to Friday, July 3, 2009 for the installation of ADA accessible curb ramps.

In conjunction with the construction of the Southern Link of the Eagle Loop Road (S.R. 1055, Section CB-1), motorists should be advised of construction activities and traffic pattern changes within the Village of Eagle along Route 100 and Byers Road.  Motorists should expect that:

• the southbound shoulder on Route 100 between Township Line Road and Ticonderoga Boulevard will be closed 24 hours a day through the summer months into August of 2009 and

• the northbound lane of the Southern Link of the Eagle Loop Road has opened and is available for motorists, giving northbound traffic the option to travel directly from Route 100 onto Graphite Mine Road and around the Village of Eagle.

Traffic pattern changes are required in order to safely conduct roadway construction activities.  Motorists may expect some delays during these periods.

S.R. 1055, Section CB1, Eagle Loop Road (Southern Link) 

Construction has Begun

This construction will connect the existing Graphite Mine Road to Route 100, completing the Eagle Loop Road.  In addition to new roadway construction, this project will also involve improvements along Route 100 between East Township Line Road and Ticonderoga Boulevard.  

When completed, this roadway will give motorists the option to bypass Eagle and should reduce traffic congestion along Route 100.  Click the Transportation Improvement Plan below to see the construction expected to occur this year.

Allan A. Myers will continue construction of the Southern Link of the Eagle Loop Road (S.R. 1055 CB1) over the next four months.  The contractual agreement between Allan A. Myers and PennDOT states that all construction shall be completed by December of 2009, and at this time the Eagle Loop Road is expected to be open for travel.
